Meeting baby cousin Thijs in Tacoma

It really was such an awesome trip.

We got a great rental house to share with your Papa, Titi, Mekhi, and Legend, and it made the whole thing feel even more special. There’s something so fun about everybody being under one roof - hanging out, eating together, laughing, wrangling kids, and just getting to spend real time together.

We have an awesome life, buddy.

Getting to go up to Tacoma and celebrate with your Titis Audrey and Ayla, your cousin Nevaeh, and their new son, Thijs, was such a gift. I love that you get to grow up surrounded by so much family and so many people who love you.

You went to the zoo. You went to the aquarium. You got to hang out with your cousins and just be a kid.

And your Papa read Lilo & Stitch and Moana to you approximately 100 times. 😂

I’m not even sure that’s much of an exaggeration.

These are the kinds of trips I hope you remember - not necessarily every place we went or every little thing we did, but the feeling of being surrounded by family. Of being loved. Of laughing together and making memories without even realizing that’s what we were doing.

We’ve got the best family, little man.

And I feel incredibly lucky that you get to grow up right in the middle of it.
