This is a picture of you and our pit bull, Cali. Cali is such an amazing dog - full of personality, so independent, yet somehow also the cuddliest and most loving companion. She’s the first dog I’ve ever truly called my own, and I already know that when her time comes, it’s going to be a very hard day for me.

I love this picture because, from the minute we brought you home, you and Cali have been best friends. Look at you two - absolute besties. You love sneaking her food off your plate, and she’s always happy to accept it. She gets so excited when you come home from daycare. And more than anything, because you’re still toddling around and have no concept of your strength or boundaries, she lets you do everything - walk on her, play the drums on her belly, even trip over her face while she’s lying down - and she never complains.

You two are the cutest. One day, when you’re older, we’ll talk about her, and you probably won’t remember much - but I want to document this now because I love watching the two of you together ❤️.
