Your Mom Is Cool

This was taken at the aquarium at Mandalay Bay, and I love this photo because it captures something about your mom really well.

She’s goofy. She’s fun. She’s beautiful. She has this way of bringing so much life and energy into the room, and you’re incredibly lucky to have a mom like her.

I’m incredibly lucky too.

I’m lucky that I get to be married to her, that I get to build a life with her, and that I get to watch her be your mom. There’s something really special about seeing the person you love become a parent. You get to see a whole new side of them - the patience, the tenderness, the protectiveness, the silliness, all of it.

And somehow, in the middle of everything, we both got even luckier because we got you.

The three of us have built this little family together, and there really isn’t anything in the world that means more to me.

I love both of you more than you could ever possibly understand.

So here’s to your mom - funny, beautiful, loving, and without question the best parent you have. 🙂
